Wicker
All Gloster woven furniture is made from only the highest quality man-made fibre. The material offers softness, tear resistance, UV protection, and weather resistance.
Construction
The polyethylene-based wicker is completely weatherproof, colourfast, extremely hard-wearing and easy to clean. It resists chlorine, saltwater, tanning lotions and oils. The woven furniture foundation uses a fully welded, powder-coated aluminium frame. Following welding, the frame receives electro-static powder coating in a finish matching the wicker colour.
Durability
Woven pieces can remain outdoors year-round, withstanding temperatures from -20°C to +55°C (-4°F to 131°F). Cold conditions make the weave stiffer while heat increases elasticity — both reverse when temperatures stabilise.
Quality
Gloster employs a more textured, thicker type of wicker than most other manufacturers. Despite being more challenging to weave, this approach produces stronger furniture with superior tension resistance, longevity, and a more natural appearance.
