Dan’s path towards partnership with Gloster was a circuitous one. After spending over twenty years in the media sphere as a contributor to publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Air Mail, Architectural Digest, and L’Officiel, as the Editor in Chief of the design magazine Surface, and as the Home & Design Director at Departures magazine, he began his podcast titled The Grand Tourist. With interviews featuring celebrity designers, architects, chefs, and brands covering a wide range of topics in the realms of design, travel, architecture, art, and culture, Dan’s podcast has turned heads and perked ears as he has shared his access to some of the world’s leading tastemakers. “A grand tourist is someone who went on a grand tour, and I’m trying to take my followers on a similar voyage for the 21st century,” Dan remarked to Galerie Magazine while reflecting on his latest venture. “Part of that is the unexpected; you don’t know what you’re going to see—or in this case, hear—when you start traveling.”
