Low geometry in woven wheat
Henrik Pedersen draws the lounger frame close to the ground. The seat sits thirty-five centimetres high; the back rises to meet the shoulderblades. Five adjustable positions from upright to reclined. The wicker panels—wheat-coloured, all-weather weave—stretch taut across the teak frame, their grid catching the poolside light in horizontal bands. The cushion sits inside the frame, not on top of it, so the profile stays low. Afternoons on the terrace extend. The teak warms; the wicker flexes without creaking. Henrik Pedersen lets the material proportions define the line: wide enough for a book on the armrest, long enough to stretch out fully, low enough to feel grounded rather than perched.
Teak frame, woven seat, tailored cushion
The frame is plantation-grown teak, kiln-dried and finished to weather naturally from honey to silver-grey. Mortise-and-tenon joints at each corner. The wicker—woven from high-density polyethylene fibre—wraps the seat and back panels in a tight basket weave, securing at hidden anchor points along the inner rail. Hardware fittings sit flush with the frame; nothing protrudes. The cushion is tailored to the internal dimension of the frame, upholstered in outdoor-performance fabric over quick-dry foam. Five notched positions hold the backrest without ratchets or levers. Teak requires no treatment; an annual rinse and brushing restore the grain. The wicker sheds rain and dries within the hour.
