The Stories Behind Our 2026 Collections

Great designs don’t just start with a sketch. They start with a feeling. Every design tells a story: of belonging, of setting out, of finding direction, of honoring tradition. Gloster’s 2026 collections are shaped by these stories and brought to life by designers and craftspeople who transform emotion into enduring luxury outdoor furniture.

Wrap by Henrik Pedersen

There is something deeply reassuring and joyous about being embraced by a form that supports and soothes without wavering. Our Wrap collection was imagined around this instinctive sense of comfort.

Designed by Danish creative force Henrik Pedersen of 365North, Wrap appears almost organic in nature. A durable woven one-piece seat and back seem to drape effortlessly over a modern frame, rooted in Scandinavian simplicity. The result is a piece that looks soft, feels intuitive, and invites immediate relaxation.

Paired with minimal yet luxurious cushions, Wrap’s generously proportioned lounge chair is ideal for sunlit terraces and long evenings spent unwinding by the ocean, while the dining chair echoes the same flowing design for relaxed outdoor dining.

As Pedersen explains, “With Wrap we have realized something almost organic, as if evolved. Soft, flowing materials embrace a simple frame, curving, shaping around the structure, folding at the edges. This mimicry of natural dynamics is what makes Wrap so comfortable, intuitive, easy to relate to.”

Grand Sail by Henrik Pedersen

Where Wrap is about reassurance, Grand Sail is about adventure, drawing inspiration from the modern yacht and its triumph of refined engineering and purposeful design. This spirit of oceanic exploration is paired with the comfort of home, creating a collection that feels both bold and deeply relaxing.

Striking aluminum frames sweep from horizontal lines into mast-like verticals, finished in lightly textured powder coat. Tensioned outdoor fabric “sails” wrap the structure, introducing layered softness and visual depth.

Deep cushions, oversized pillows, and lumbar supports create an enveloping sense of comfort, while inline or freestanding tables ensure everything remains within easy reach. With flexible modular elements, Grand Sail adapts effortlessly to different spaces and lifestyles.

Pedersen describes the intent behind the collection clearly, “Every element serves a purpose – to create a soft, cozy setting with modular flexibility. A selection of structured fabrics allows for personalization, and the mix of textiles adds an extra tactile dimension, making the Grand Sail a truly immersive voyage of comforting discovery.”

Ambient Compass by Henrik Pedersen

In a world of constant motion, Ambient Compass is an illuminating point of reference. Inspired by classic navigation tools, this sculptural lantern embraces the clarity and confidence of an analogue age when objects were designed to guide, endure, and quietly perform their role. Generous panels of hand-finished teak are arranged like compass points, softened with rounded edges and finished with an integrated handle.

Hand-woven shades create a beautifully diffused glow when illuminated from within. A weatherproof LED unit, controlled remotely and rechargeable via mains or solar power, blends modern convenience with timeless form. Compass brings atmosphere to evenings and quiet sophistication to daylight settings.

As Pedersen explains, “A compass is meant to guide you, and that’s exactly what this design does. Like a compass rose, the four-star base marks the cardinal directions, while the lamp itself illuminates the way.”

Rail by Gloster’s Internal Design House

Rail, realized by our internal design house, draws directly from the brand’s long-standing expertise in teak craftsmanship. As its name suggests, Rail represents movement and connection, lines extending forward and back, linking journeys past and future.

The dining table’s frame is crafted from individually selected teak, hand-finished to reveal the natural beauty of the material. Gentle radii soften the profile, while cleverly concealed fastenings preserve a clean, architectural silhouette. An elegant ceramic top completes the design, offering durability without visual weight. Rail is designed to anchor a space, pairing effortlessly with a wide range of dining chairs.

As Tim Cook, Product Development Manager at Gloster, reflects, “We typically work with some of the best furniture designers in the world, and we are constantly inspired and challenged by these collaborations. However, sometimes a need is so clear, so defined, it needs nothing more than for our skilled craftspeople to be allowed to embrace their years of experience and deliver a simply perfect solution.”
