This May, Gloster joined the fifth annual edition of Kin & Company’s Inside~Out exhibition during NYCxDesign, exploring a new theme centered on urban ecology.
Presented in partnership with DEDON and Gloster, this year’s exhibition, Inside~Out: Bird’s Eye View, transformed a rooftop terrace in DUMBO into an immersive outdoor environment where art and nature intersected, inviting visitors to experience New York City through the lens of its avian inhabitants.

Located atop the Two Trees office building in DUMBO overlooking the Manhattan Bridge and East River, the installation featured creative works curated by Kin & Company from more than 30 independent design studios, each responding to the exhibition’s ecocentric theme. Rather than viewing nature as a passive backdrop, the exhibition created moments to relax, learn, and be inspired by how humans and wildlife can coexist more thoughtfully within the city.

Gloster’s luxury outdoor furniture helped shape the experience with refined seating areas designed for comfort and connection, showcasing collections such as Kay, Grand Sail, Bora, Fresco, and others.
“We’re proud to contribute the furnishings that help shape the experience and create a setting for the artists and conversations that make New York Design Week so special,” said Patrick Troy, President & CEO of DEDON Americas and Gloster Americas. “A rooftop installation in New York in the spring is hard to beat.”

Since its founding in 2019, Inside~Out has become a distinctive part of NYCxDesign by spotlighting contemporary outdoor design in a more personal and approachable setting. What began as an opportunity to showcase independent designers working beyond traditional interiors evolved into an annual exhibition focused on social connection, creativity, and outdoor living.
The 2026 edition featured participating artists and studios including Anahit Pogosian, Forma Studio, Josh Draper, Studio Beca, Kazuki Guzmán, and many others contributing perspectives across art and furniture.

During the exhibition, DEDON and Gloster also hosted an intimate evening of cocktails and conversation. Held on Wednesday, May 20, the gathering brought together members of the design community to experience the exhibition in a more personal setting. Despite thunderstorms moving through New York City that evening, more than 250 guests attended the event, continuing to celebrate the artwork and sense of connection that defined the exhibition.

Alongside our participation in Inside~Out, Gloster also celebrated recognition during NYCxDesign 2026, as our Wrap collection was nominated in the Outdoor Seating category of the NYCxDesign Awards, along with a People’s Choice nomination.
The nomination highlighted the collection’s distinctive design language while reinforcing Gloster’s ongoing presence within the international design community during one of New York’s most influential creative events.
For Gloster, supporting Inside~Out aligned naturally with our commitment to intentional design and premium craftsmanship. In settings like these, every detail contributes to how outdoor spaces are experienced, and furniture becomes more than a functional object. Instead, our pieces define the environments they inhabit, encouraging connection and a deeper appreciation of the natural world around us.
