Teak, crafts and innovation

Gloster’s New Vision for Outdoor Living at Salone del Mobile 2026

At Salone del Mobile in Milan, Gloster introduced its vision for 2027 through a refined booth concept and new collections that balance architectural clarity with comfort and functionality.

For 2026, our booth evolved into a considered space that maintained the architectural language central to Gloster’s identity. A palette of concrete-style laminated floor material paired with teak and stone-like wall panels created a grounded and tactile environment. Large ceiling panels with integrated diffused lighting softened the space, giving it an airy and open quality.

The result was a clean backdrop designed to elevate the collections themselves. Positioned front and center, the new Amìes and Ithaca collections took focus, while the updated Gloster logo made its Milan debut, marking the beginning of a broader brand evolution through 2026 and into 2027.

Alongside these introductions, a curated selection of existing Gloster collections, including Grid, Rail, Grand Sail, Fern, Kay, and more, were thoughtfully integrated throughout the stand, reinforcing our cohesive design language and breadth of offering.

Ithaca

Gloster Ithaca Collection at Salone del Mobile 2026

Designed by AMDL Circle, the studio founded by Michele De Lucchi, Ithaca draws inspiration from the timeless idea of homecoming. Referencing the mythic island longed for by Odysseus, the collection embodies calm, balance, and a sense of quiet retreat.

Ithaca showcases Gloster’s material expertise through an octagonal teak frame defined by a slender diagonal line, an interplay of geometry and organic expression. Deep, generous cushions soften the structure, creating a lounge setting that feels sculptural and inviting.

Comprised of lounge chairs, sofas, an ottoman, and distinctive tables, Ithaca forms a cohesive landscape designed for connection and relaxation. As Michele De Lucchi describes, the collection reflects a journey shaped by intuition and discovery, ultimately arriving at a place of harmony and calmness.

Amìes

Gloster Amies Collection at Salone del Mobile 2026

From Buratti Architetti, Amìes celebrates togetherness. Named after the Milanese word for “friends,” the collection captures the essence of shared outdoor living, where conversations linger and moments become memories.

Defined by precision and durability, Amìes features a refined aluminum frame paired with a tensioned PVC sling for comfort and resilience. A versatile range of dining and lounge seating is complemented by a family of tables with ceramic tops in tonal, textured finishes. The collection pairs understated elegance with robust construction, designed for lasting outdoor performance.

For designers Gabriele Buratti and Oscar Buratti, Amìes is rooted in architectural discipline brought to life through human connection.

A Cohesive Vision for 2027

Alongside the debut of Ithaca and Amìes, Gloster also unveiled the new Senja tabletop solar LED lamp designed by Samuel Wilkinson, as well as an exciting new collection of outdoor rugs, further expanding our approach to creating layered outdoor spaces.

Our display at Salone exemplified that exceptional outdoor design goes beyond aesthetics, delivering intuitive functionality, enduring comfort, and effortless versatility. We continually strive to perfect this balance, creating thoughtfully constructed furniture that not only looks refined but performs beautifully over time and supports the many ways people relax and connect outdoors.
